Madre Teresa di Calcutta park. Casal de' Pazzi. Rome, 13 May 2021 |
On 13 May, the end of Ramadan, the holy month for Muslims, was celebrated with the feast of Eid-il-Fitr.
Although the pandemic is still present among us, things are starting to return to a pseudo-normalcy. Obviously, it is not possible to celebrate it as in previous years, but with the precautions of distancing and the use of masks, the Muslim community of Bangladesh has prayed both outdoors and in mosques.
These are some of the best
photographs of the long morning, which began early in the morning with the
community living in Casal de 'Pazzi, in the Mother Teresa of Calcutta park.
Then to the Central Masjid in Torpignattara, and a short greeting to the friends gathered in Largo Preneste.
After the prayer, the families went to celebrate and the children to play in the parks.
In future years these portraits with
masks will remind us of the particularity of this time. Not to forget...
