Islamic Prayer to Ask Respect – Rome

The latest events in France and Macron's stance has sparked countless protests among Islamic communities in different nations, such as Bangladesh, Turkey, Iran.

The dramatic events following the publication of the satirical cartoons against the Prophet, with the brutal attack in Nice, have warmed the spirits more.

Around a hundred Muslims, mainly from Bangaldesh, gathered peacefully in the square to carry out Friday prayers and discuss what happened, also strongly denouncing the attacks against Christians in Nice, repeating how in Islam every religion is sacred.

It's a question of respect.

“The Dhuumcatu Association (born within the Bengali community) organized a demonstration on Friday 30 October against the persecution of Muslims in France and to say enough to offenses to the Islamic religion disguised as freedom of expression. As stated in the press release, the subject of strong criticism are the police operations carried out against Islamic associations and mosques, without connection with the investigations underway but with the declared intent, by the French minister, to ‘send a message’.

Then there is the request for respect for the Islamic religion and the further accusation of hypocrisy for the public ostentation of the satirical cartoons on the Prophet Mohammed presented as an expression of freedom of thought.”

The demonstration took place in Pizza Vidoni, near Largo Arentina.
